Hi, I'm Mellie — and every single piece in this store was made by these hands.

Creativity isn't something I discovered; it's something I've always been. I grew up watching my mom breathe new life into old furniture — painting, distressing, and antique-washing pieces until they told a whole new story. My dad was a baker, and I spent countless hours beside him in the bakery, learning that patience and precision make all the difference. From sewing intricate curtain designs to setting up my own darkroom to develop photographs, I've spent my whole life chasing the next thing I could make with my hands.

My career as a dental hygienist sharpened that instinct in an unexpected way. Working with precision in small spaces every day gave me a steady, intentional touch — the kind that now goes into every clasp, every bead, every design. (Though some might still debate that... lol.)

The jewelry journey began with a gift from my niece Noelle: a tiny stretchy bracelet that read "ANUT MEL." Misspelling and all, I was completely charmed — and completely hooked. I ordered beads, elastic, and never looked back.

During Covid, with the world on pause, I went all in. I spent full days at my bench, learning new techniques, pushing my own limits, and finding real joy in the process. What began as a creative outlet became something much deeper — a passion, a purpose, and eventually, Lovely Girl by Mellie.

I pour love into every piece I make, and nothing makes me happier than knowing someone is wearing something I created just for them.
